Dr. Ambedkar was a great social reformer, a valiant champion of Human freedom, Human Rights and an emancipator of the downtrodden masses and women of India. Depicting his career as the struggle of the intellect and will, his deep erudition scholarship and experience in field as law, economic, sociology, labor and politics enabled him to make impressive contribution to the making of Modern India. He dedicated all his life, to awaken the social conscience of modem India. He devoted his life to the destruction of caste ridden social system characterized by injustice and denial of human rights. By the sheer grit of his determination, hard work, supreme courage and selfless sacrifice, he overcame bitter political opposition social orthodoxy and superstition. He became the Architect of the Constitution of the Independent India. He provided equal rights to women and safeguards of affirmative action for establishing a equitable society that is capable of delivering justice social, economic and political to citizen of India (people). He started a new age of social equality in India.
He laid great emphasis on education. He saw education as a potent force which
equally could empower every citizen to build an egalitarian society to help break the age old unjust system of graded inequality (caste system) Dr. Ambedkar made outstanding contribution as an economist, sociologist, anthropologist, educationist and a jurist. He has emerged as a Symbol of Knowledge.
His motto of, ‘Educate, Organize, and Agitate’ will guide us to achieve his vision
of a society based on Equality, Liberty, and Fraternity. We are duty bound to work to achieve his vision.
